Arnold I. Rady is a partner in the firm and was formerly a partner of
Morgan & Finnegan, where he represented a wide range of U.S.
and international clients in a diverse practice of intellectual
property law matters, including patent, trademark, trade secret and
unfair competition issues. He is a registered U.S. patent attorney
and has extensive jury trial and appellate experience representing
both plaintiffs and defendants. In his more than 35 years in private
practice he has counseled and represented clients in such
technologies as pharmaceuticals, genetic engineering, agricultural
chemicals, chemical manufacturing, gasoline and petrochemicals,
construction materials, consumer goods, medical devices, steel
manufacturing and business methods. Clients, ranging from
Fortune® 100 companies to individuals and start-up companies,
have looked to Mr. Rady for advice in identifying and protecting
rights in intellectual property, in planning and strategizing
commercial, business and transactional decisions, in negotiating
and drafting licenses and other agreements and in representing
them in litigations and other proceedings. He possesses particular
expertise in managing highly complex patent litigations involving
multiple clients, multiple patents, ancillary issues or related
collateral proceedings raised in the U.S. Patent & Trademark
Office, FDA, EPA and FTC. He also has represented both
proprietary drug and generic clients in patent litigations involving
ANDA filings.
Mr. Rady began his career as a Patent Examiner in the U.S. Patent
& Trademark Office and has continued with a strong PTO practice,
having drafted and prosecuted hundreds of patent applications and
managed the U.S. and international patent portfolios of many
companies.
