Michael H. Teschner is a partner at the firm. His practice focuses on obtaining, defending, and challenging patents in the chemical arts, particularly in the pharmaceutical and personal care and medical device industries. Mr. Teschner's practice emphasizes rendering opinions, litigation, patent drafting and prosecution.

Mr. Teschner has in-depth experience in opining on, drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the chemical and medical arts, including pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and basic chemistry. He also has broad experience in chemical patent litigation focusing heavily on pharmaceutical litigation on behalf of generic drug manufacturers. This experience includes discovery, expert discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation. He has prepared an extensive array of opinions focusing on every facet of chemistry, from production methods through cosmetic and pharmaceutical formulations, and has lectured on topics as diverse as recent changes to the Hatch-Waxman Act (regulating generic drug submissions) and the use of powder X-ray diffraction techniques in patent application drafting and opinions.

Mr. Teschner is an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers School of Law in Newark, NJ and teaches Patent Law.  He is a co-author of "Inventor Marketing Pitfalls Exposed," Intellectual Property Law Supplement of the New Jersey Law Journal (August, 1993); and co-author of "Section 101: From Oil-Eaters to Mice," AIPLA Selected Legal Papers, Vol. VI, No. 1 (July 1988).
