Stephen B. Goldman is a partner in the firm, counseling large
corporate and small business clients in all areas of Intellectual
Property Law. His many years of representing clients before the
United States Patent and Trademark Office has been a valuable
asset when representing clients in patent litigation in the Federal
Courts.

Mr. Goldman's practice regularly involves counseling clients in
procuring patent protection both domestically and internationally,
including preparing validity and non- infringement opinions as
part of right-to-use investigations. His experience also includes
complex patent prosecution issues involving reexaminations,
reissues and appeals. He has handled diverse areas of technology
including mechanical arts, chemical arts, electronic arts, and
related processing fields. His past experience as in-house patent
counsel to Texas Instruments' central research laboratory has
provided a strong background into handling emerging
technologies. In addition, Mr. Goldman has considerable
experience in counseling clients in intellectual property licensing,
as well as trademark protection, clearance opinions, and trademark
opposition and cancellation practice.

Mr. Goldman's patent litigation practice has included patents to
commercial cooking oil supply systems, digital photo printing
kiosks, outdoor furniture, mechanical monitor extension arms,
polymer yarns, manufacturing methods, and 3-dimensional
modeling systems. He has also litigated trade secret, trademark
and unfair competition cases. His experiences in the Federal
Courts include extensive discovery practice, depositions, expert
reports, Markman briefs, motion practice and oral argument.
He is the author of "Intellectual Property: An Overview," New
Jersey Lawyer, No. 142 (September/October, 1991).
