Taylor Evans is an associate with the firm. Mr. Evans focuses his practice on all areas of intellectual property, with an emphasis on patent prosecution, patent litigation, and various trademark and copyright issues. He has experience in obtaining and enforcing patents in the areas of biotechnology, medical devices, semiconductor fabrication, packaging, and a variety of mechanical arts.
Mr. Evans has expertise in patent prosecution and litigation matters. His patent prosecution experience includes drafting U.S. and foreign patent applications and responding to office actions from the U.S. Patent Office as well as from other patent offices throughout the world. Additionally, his patent litigation experience includes handling discovery, infringement analysis, and motion practice. He has assisted clients with due diligence reviews related to intellectual property matters, including patentability opinions and invalidity studies.
Previously, Mr. Evans was a Summer Associate with the firm in 2006. Before joining Lerner David, he was a Student Attorney at the Pierce Law Intellectual Property and Business Transactions Clinic in 2005. In 2006 and 2007, as a student at Franklin Pierce Law Center, Taylor worked as the Managing Editor of the Pierce Law Review. He also participated in the preparation and filing of an amicus brief to the Supreme Court filed on behalf of a group of law professors in the case of Ebay, Inc. v. MercExchange, L.L.C.
