Gregory S. Gewirtz is a partner in the firm. His practice spans various areas of intellectual property law, with extensive experience in patent litigation involving electronic and mechanical products, as well as trademark and copyright litigation. He has been the lead counsel in numerous actions in various United States district courts, and has argued and briefed appeals before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Mr. Gewirtz has negotiated and drafted many license agreements involving patents, trademarks, copyrights and other intellectual properties in electronic, mechanical, computer and pharmaceutical arts.

He is licensed to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and has prosecuted hundreds of U.S. and international patent applications in the electrical and mechanical arts as well as software and business method areas. His experience also includes many complex aspects of patent prosecution involving reexaminations, reissues, interferences and appeals.

He has substantial experience in all aspects of domestic and international trademark issues including prosecution, opinions, licensing, due diligence review and litigation. He has successfully negotiated many trademark disputes and resolved trademark litigations in Federal Court as well as oppositions and cancellation proceedings before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Mr. Gewirtz is a Master in the John C. Lifland American Inn of Court and has lectured on various aspects of patent litigation and prosecution. He holds a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Rutgers University, worked as an electrical engineer for RCA and General Electric, and is a Pace University School of Law graduate with Dean's List honors.
