Jeffrey S. Dickey is a partner in the firm and leader of the firm's group relating to electrical, computer and business method technologies. His practice encompasses all areas of intellectual property law with a particular emphasis in licensing and the computer hardware and software arts.
He has handled numerous intellectual property transactions and has an in-depth expertise in obtaining patents to protect business methods, computer hardware and computer software. His transactional experiences have ranged from drafting software licenses for small businesses to representing large international corporations in complicated multiparty patent transactions. He also routinely lectures other attorneys about protecting and licensing their client's intellectual property.
Mr. Dickey joined Lerner David Littenberg Krumholz & Mentlik, LLP in 1991. He was previously employed in the litigation department of Manhattan-based Cravath, Swaine & Moore. Much of Mr. Dickey's experience also draws from his work as an in-house attorney at AT&T from 1997 to 1999, where he specialized solely in intellectual property transactions, including licensing and merger and acquisition support.
Mr. Dickey is a magna cum laude graduate of New York Law School, where he was Executive Editor of the New York Law School Law Review. His undergraduate studies were performed at Rutgers University, where he received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
Mr. Dickey has been recognized as a “go to” lawyer by Corporate Counsel magazine for his intellectual property expertise.
