The intellectual property law firm Lerner, David, Littenberg, Krumholz & Mentlik, LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Joshua Garfield as an associate of the firm.
Mr. Garfield practice focuses on patent prosecution, opinion drafting, and litigation support in the areas of computer software, computer hardware, and Internet methodologies. His areas of expertise include telecommunications, provisioning systems, behavior modification systems, insurance software systems, financial transaction systems, mobile software applications, and mobile devices.
Outside the realm of computer software and hardware, Mr. Garfield has prepared and prosecuted applications for biomedical imaging devices, thin film technology, optics, and vehicle occupant detection systems. He also has extensive experience in assisting clients in gaining patent protection in jurisdictions outside of the United States.
Mr. Garfield has a J.D. from Case Western Reserve University, a B.S.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. from University of Pennsylvania.
He is admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
